Peony and Cramond Island

This lovely weather has driven me outdoors! A brief visit to the Botanics on the way to school pick up, found me unable to resist some gorgeous peonies..

The next day I took myself off along Marine Drive, and looking back towards Cramond Island the tide had started to retreat.  The causeway stuck out like a row of sharp teeth and the sea shimmered away into the distant haze of Fife.  A group of trees with long slender shapes provided some shade to the occasional dog walker and cyclist out seizing the day. And provided beautiful shapes to flank the seascape beyond.
